description
Monocalcium Phosphate (MCP) is an essential mineral compound that plays a vital role across various industrial sectors, including animal feed, food processing, and other technical applications.
• In the animal feed industry (Feed Grade), MCP is recognized as a superior phosphorus source due to its higher bioavailability compared to other sources such as Dicalcium Phosphate (DCP). Containing approximately 21%–22% phosphorus and 13%–18% calcium, this product functions optimally to support bone growth, strengthen eggshells, and enhance metabolic efficiency and reproduction in poultry, cattle, swine, and aquaculture such as fish and shrimp.
• In the food processing industry (Food Grade), Monocalcium Phosphate serves as a multifunctional food additive, primarily acting as a fast-acting leavening agent in baking powder that releases carbon dioxide to create a light texture in bread, cakes, and muffins.
• Functions as a pH regulator and stabilizer to maintain acidity levels and improve the shelf life of processed cheese, carbonated beverages, and sausages, while also serving as a nutritional fortification agent in breakfast cereals and infant formulas.
• Utilized in the production of superphosphate fertilizers to stimulate plant root growth and is applied in oral care products such as toothpaste as a cleaning agent and tooth enamel strengthener.
